Ms. Teri Romano BSN, MBA, CPC, CMDP

Ms. Romano, of KarenZupko & Associates, Inc., is a consultant and speaker specializing in coding/reimbursement, staffing optimization, market research, marketing and service line development. She is a course developer and faculty member for national coding courses offered by the AANS, the Society of Vascular Surgery (SVS) and the American College of Surgery (ACS). She also provides customized on-site coding and reimbursement courses for physician groups and conducts comprehensive audits of E/M and surgical services. Ms. Romano has worked with surgeons and hospitals in the development of neurovascular, stroke, trauma and vascular centers. She received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Illinois and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Chicago. She is also a certified coder through the AAPC and a certified medical documentation professional through the AIHC.
