Cody Lee Nesvick, MD
Dr. Nesvick is a fifth year neurosurgery resident at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Originally from Tennessee, he completed medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and completed a research fellowship at the NIH through the Medical Research Scholars Program. Dr. Nesvick’s primary research interest is molecular mechanisms of tumorigenesis in atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor (ATRT), specifically how SMARCB1 loss leads to context-specific epigenomic dysregulation. In addition to pediatric neuro-oncology, he is a student of skull base and vascular neurosurgery. Given the breadth of his interests, he aims to integrate a thriving basic and translational research laboratory with a busy pediatric neuro-oncology clinical practice.
