Dr. David “Cory” Adamson, MD, PhD, MPH, MHSc, FAANS, FCNS, FACS, is currently Professor of Neurosurgery at Mercer University School of Medicine, Chief of Neurosurgery at the Atlanta VA Healthcare System and practices at the Georgia Neurosurgical Institute in Macon, GA. He received his medical and graduate education from Johns Hopkins University followed by neurosurgical residency and neuro-oncologic fellowship training at Duke University. He spent his early career at Duke and then Emory University Departments of Neurosurgery before relocating closer to his home and family in Georgia. He participates in neurosurgical education at all levels and practices a wide range of adult neurosurgery with special clinical and research interests in benign and malignant tumors.
