Starane Shepherd MD

Starane Shepherd, MD is a Neurointensivist and Associate Medical Director at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Shepherd attended Howard University, in Washington D.C., for both undergraduate education and medical school followed by a Neurology residency at the University of Miami. He subsequently completed the Harvard Medical School Neurocritical Care fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. He was an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL prior to joining the team at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. Dr. Shepherd has been recognized by the American Academy of Neurology as an emerging leader within the field of Neurology and is a Co-Chair of the Inclusion in Neurocritical Care Committee of the Neurocritical Care Society.
