Rajeev Deb Sen, MD
Dr. Sen attended Columbia University, where he worked with Nobel laureate neuroscientist Dr. Eric Kandel, sparking his interest in the brain. He continued his education in New York at the NYU School of Medicine. During medical school he developed an interest in brain tumors while working in the lab of Dr. Dimitris Placantonakis, studying glioblastoma stem cells. While in residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, his clinical and academic interests have transition to cerebrovascular pathology, where he studies arteriovenous malformation outcomes and the molecular mechanism behind intracranial aneurysm rupture using transcriptomic and bioinformatic analyses. He has also developed a passion for resident recruitment and technical training, having designed the Home Microsurgery Lab, a platform for residents to master microsurgical techniques at home.
